HighSight and De La Salle Institute senior, Amir Smith, has received The Posse Foundation scholarship to attend DePauw University as part of the Class of 2029!
Amir has received numerous acceptances from colleges and universities nationwide and is excited to attend in the fall.
As a freshman, Amir exhibited a good attitude and an eagerness to learn. He has maintained excellent grades throughout high school and is exceptionally prepared for the next stage of schooling.
Through HighSight, Amir participated in multiple summer enrichment programs including an internship through the Chicago Summer Business Institute. As a junior, he spent a summer in Rabat, Morrocco. There he learned Arabic while staying with a host family and attending classes with his NSLI-Y (National Security Language Initiative for Youth) cohort.
