How To Apply

Since 1992, HighSight has undertaken the responsibility of helping Chicago's youth to achieve their dreams through access to a quality education. We do so by providing our scholars with financial support through donor-funded partial scholarships to attend private high schools in Chicago.
HighSight's four-year program assists eighth-grade students in attending and creating success at private high schools in Chicago.
Four-Year Program Application Calendar
- December: Private high school entrance exam
- February: HighSight applications are available
- March: Applications are due
- April: Applications are reviewed by the selection committee
- May: Student and parent interviews are held with qualifying candidates
- June: Scholar selection is announced
- July: Five-week mandatory summer program is held
Four-Year Program Eligibility Requirements
- Currently be in the 8th grade and live in Chicago
- Live in a household that exhibits financial need - income below $60,000
- Take the entrance exam and be accepted to the private high school of your choice
- Apply for financial aid from the private high school every year
- Attend HighSight's five-week Freshman Summer Program starting in July
- Participate in HighSight's academic enrichment/tutoring sessions two days a week during the school year
- Participate in HighSight's summer programs throughout high school and be willing to enroll in the best college possible
Four-Year HighSight Scholar Expectations
- Maintain above a 3.5 cumulative GPA with more As than Bs
- Take the most rigorous curriculum possible
- Always exhibit a good attitude and make a positive contribution to your high school, family, and HighSight
- Attend HighSight's academic tutoring program
- Successfully complete HighSight's summer program each year
- Regularly communicate with HighSight and participate in HighSight activities
- Understand and use the HighSight strategy to enroll in the best college possible

Class of 2030 applications will be available February 2026.
